These are the bolts you slacken to adjust the rear wheel toe settings so it's essential they're in good condition.

That's them! I am also conscious that they are likely to be high tensile bolts due to the loading, and with our cars getting older that rear trailing arm and subframe may need to come off at some point for new bushes and rust removal.

I am going to order these:

Prefer socket head on these as they are better when rusty!

Yes I realise that, socket heads are generally smaller than hex heads, so need a washer underneath.

Thought you said you measured them at 60mm long and can you confirm that the originals are flanged head screws and not bolts please ?

They are 60mm including the heads. The originals are bolts but I don't see a problem replacing them with socket screws, do you?

Is there a difference between a screw and a bolt?

Para-phrasing from machinery handbooks -

Typically a bolt is an externally threaded fastener designed for insertion through holes in assembled parts, and is normally intended to be tightened or released by torquing a nut. The thread length is usually twice the bolt diameter.

A screw is an externally threaded fastener capable of being inserted into holes in assembled parts, of mating with a preformed internal thread or forming its own thread, and of being tightened or released by torquing the head. The thread length is typically more than twice the diameter and can be the whole length of the shaft especially if the shaft is not tapered.

Bolt / screw length is definitely measured from under the head if hex head, cap head or flanged hex head, hence my question about bolt length.

I believe the fasteners here do not have nuts and would seem to need most of their length to be threaded to function - Rimmers describe and illustrate them as 'screw-flanged head'.
