Replacing side impact sensor.
Hi all,
I'm replacing the side impact sensor on my passengers side to try and get rid of my airbag warning light. Is it possible to turn the key without the passenger seat in to see if it's still illuminated, or do the yellow and blue plugs have to be connected?

The plugs have to be connected , or they put the lights on as well .
When I did mine I didn't remove the seat , just unbolted it and tipped it back out of the way , then put a cut in the carpet and propped it up with a stick. That meant the plugs stayed connected

All done, I put the seat back in and put everything back before re-connecting the battery.
The result : ImageUploadedByTapatalk1415550124.928533.jpg The fist time since purchasing my car that I've had no warning lights,

side impact sensor.
Well done, only removed these from a scrapper so was quite easy for me, but doing it on a useable motor is a different thing. Glad it worked out.

Very. I think I've caught the bug now though. I changed my drop links and rod ends a couple of weeks ago, I'm already thinking of what else I can do!
Looking forward to receiving my new double din from Sean and fitting it, along with my reversing camera 😁

Excellent, well done. They can be hard to pinpoint without T4, but at least you've found and sorted the problem.

Yes Steve you're correct.
Matt the fault was diagnosed at the last Midlands Nano, by Duncan. And you're right again Steve, I really enjoy the Nano meets, so much so that I bought a caravan to help me enjoy every minute! And I hope to get to a point where I can spend the whole meet helping others
