Default Fuel Pump

Hi all,

My car has a problem starting if the fuel drops below 1/4 tank.

Am I right in thinking this would be a problem with my under bonnet fuel pump?

If so, is it Easy to replace? Is there a how to and where is a good place to buy a new one?

Thanks very much 😁👍

The other one - a problem below a quarter of a tank is the In Tank Pump (usually). I've so far had it on 2 of my cars...
Changing the pump insert isn't a bad job, allow 1-2 hours if you're 'new' to it.
I have the pump available, and I'd also recommend changing the large seal around the access cover when you've fitted the pump.
Both pump and seal are here: In Tank Pump - R75 / MG ZT CDTi

Its more than likley the in tank pump has packed up There is a how to in how to check it.The car will run on just the under bonnet pump but as in your case will struggle to start with a quarter tank or less.

There is also a very good "HowTo" on replacing the intank fuel pump
