Default Airbag Light Code Reader??

Does anyone know if the cheap code readers will read airbag faults?

The Rovers airbag light is on and I've tried the usual things with the blue and yellow connectors under the front seats, but still have the fault.
I suspect a seatbelt tensioner but it would be good to know for certain before I start taking things apart.

Check the pins are ok inside the plugs they can easily be bent out the way.
It might be the steering wheel coupler that's at fault.
I've got some code reading stuff but it doesn't do airbags on the zt or 75.
I used a friend of a friends snap on reader to diagnose mine a few years ago.

Give doopydog a shout he has a T4 (I think)

That's clever, doesn't say anything about that in the handbook

Thanks Wullie, I'll check the pins when I get chance, I think they were OK but they are a bit flimsy.

I think Doopydug's in Fife that's a bit too far.

It's under the carpet about middle of the seat area on the cross member, very easy to see and change. 30 min job tops
