pleased with myself, it works
I have almost put the Tourer together after the clutch change and associated other work and today fitted the front offside strut and front wheels and drove it out of the garage. Been in there since the end of March?
It works, the clutch actually works I'm so pleased with myself, I could not have done it without members advice and help. Thank you very much. I have double checked bolts are torqued up. I'm not out of the woods yet What's left to do:- Torque up the drive shaft nuts cure water leak on offside rear pillar. I'll remove roof rail to check fix and fit undertray, its broken replace bonnet gas struts, bonnet comes down on you remove and refit battery tray, I left a clip off for two pipes replace air filter and pcv filter refit front near side door card find out and cure why bonnet does not shut properly offside rear light cluster not working. probably my fault mot If it passes mot then some minor mods. Anyway, knowing the clutch is working is fantastic news macafee2 |

it is not a job I feel I could offer to do for someone even with all the help i've had.
holidays, work, waiting for part of a spring compressor, DIY, working slowly, rust proofing, needing a break, extra work on car have all taken their turn in holding me up. but without doubt I could not have done it without help macafee2 |

Well done Ian-, good work. I think you may now hold the record for the slowest ever Rover 75 clutch change - mine took almost three weeks (I have since done another which only took 3-4 days). It is not a job to be rushed.
