Surprise return to ownership
Two weeks ago today my son & i took a trip to the Nec for the classic car show. Whilst wondering round we came across the club stand where i bumped into Andy & Debs ( Trikey & Bluebird ). Whilst having a catch up with them i mentioned i had been considering buying a Zt but was unsure whether to or not.
Andy mentioned someone had been talking to him who wasn't a member of our club but owned a Zt that he had been using as his everyday driver for the last nine / ten years but it now had a few issues that had caused it to recently fail its Mot. He left his details with Andy & asked if they could be passed on should anyone be interested in saving the car. When Ross ( my son ) found out what it was he immediately agreed i was buying it without me even opening my mouth!! So, whilst trying to find a quiet corner in the Nec, i contacted the owner & arranged to view the car last weekend nearly two hundred miles away from me in Luton. The seller of the car & his family were lovely people ( i ended up spending a couple of hours at their house ) and i agreed to buy the car. As it had no Mot i arranged through Shiply to have the car transported up to my work & it arrived on Friday evening. https://flic.kr/p/R2b6u7 https://flic.kr/p/2d9UV6i https://flic.kr/p/PoN8Xk https://flic.kr/p/R2b89j https://flic.kr/p/2d5v9WC https://flic.kr/p/R2b7aA Never thought i would buy one of these but it is a 260Se finished in Chagall. I am looking forward to getting it back on the road as soon as possible and thank you to Andy & Debs for passing the details onto me. Steve. |

Glad you got it Steve, look forward to seeing it at a show in the future, its not every day you get offered a monogram 260.

Your face at the Yorkie meet gave it away even before you said anything
I assume you sorted transportation before I found the number I had,
