Default lower engine mount

Ok, among a couple of other jobs ... I want to tackle the lower engine mount on my 75 diesel first. I have read soooo many posts and subjects on the engine mount, the bit that I need clarifying is this ... which is the best one to go for? There seems to be divided opinions on the several makes from different sellers, the only thing that kind of made me take notice was the praise the Chinese variant got ! Is it that good? can peeps on here weigh in with their opinions / personal findings etc: so I can make a decision based on real world use of the varying makes available.
Need to get it sorted PDQ and don't want and can't afford to waist money on something that can't be returned if it turns out to be a lemon.
A tall order I know but if I can get a good base line for experiences and long term testing etc: from you guys it might just save me a load of grief and a bit of money.
Cheers all.

The problem with your request is that you will probably get all those answers you have already seen and got confused over.

Little bit of a lottery really. The best you've read about is probably the best to go for.---

Hahaha. yes ... I was expecting that. if I picked out a particular make.. ie the Chinese item, could the peeps on here that have actually bought and fitted this Chinese part give me some feedback on their findings. In my mind it lessens the risk of buying the wrong or an unsuitable part.
Could they also tell me where they bought it from?
Thanks all.

Powerflex is what I fitted on both our diesels when they required to be changed, They carry a lifetime warranty as well.
Make sure you get the yellow with the slots for the diesel as the early red ones failed which were replaced under warranty.
I may have a used one on the zt will need to check as I can't remember if I took it off or not.

Wullie, How did the yellow powerflex stack up against the OEM item in terms of transmitted vibration and engine movement when taking up drive?

Slightly more vibration (But not enough to worry about) Using the powerflex bush, but you get zero engine movement and it will last!

I fitted a slightly modified ford mondeo bracked following a how to guide from the forum.
Better design than the rover one, no issues at all

How easy is it to push out the old rubber and press in a powerflex bush? Will a vice be sufficient?

Hi Heddy.
Fair to medium in ease, you will need to know or cut out the old centre.
1

Then cut out the metal insert as I find the original better than the supplied insert that come with the power flex mount.
2

Skin it
3

You are now ready to add the power flex rubber insert
4

5

I will try and post up a full how to tomorrow Arctic

Yes, that's doable. but too much of a faff for me, never have that much time. Will get a std one and play with the old one in case of next time.
