I found the bumper came off quite easy and went back on without too much bother. An extra pair of hands and a ground sheet helps with not damaging paintwork. I have spare bumper fixings ( and bumper for that matter), the 5 plastic studs along the top and side fixings if required.

Well that's answered my question - how does the back bumper come off - before I could ask it !!! Ta, got an original Rover swan neck tow bar to fit, and think I will need to take the bumper off. Do I need to use bypas relays on the lighting socket ? Jeff

Well after trying the twisting method, it's so much quicker and easier to remove the rear bumper and change the trim … I was beginning to embarrass myself with the twisting method. Don't mess about just get it off and change the trim!!!!!!

you will,as there is a crash bar behind the bumper, which needs removing, and keeping for when you sell the car,and replacing with the towbar crossbar.
