My 2000 R75 Auto 105K miles has been faultless until a couple of months ago. It developed a thump when putting into drive. I was unable to drive down road without this thump through the gears until it warmed up. Once warm it was just a matter of turning off and start again and she drove as normal. I had the fluid changed (4L) but no joy it didn't fix it.
Apparently it was a solenoid that had given up the ghost. Had the solenoid fixed at a cost of £258 at a specialist in the midlands and she runs as sweet and as smooth as ever since then. Edd |
