Dunno but my seat is way back and and i'm almost horizontal, unlike when i had my small hatchback i had my face in the windscreen darting about the place. Defo more laid back plus the fact i've got a auto box i'm almost sleeping now.

For the first time in my driving history i have to say im enjoying driving slow, plz dont ask me why but from the usual dashing around working from pub to pub, i had a very nice and calm day just pottering about from site to site, i have to say im rather suprised about my new little mg, shes growing on me very quickly. :xmas-smiley-042:

Aye, my driving style has changed. I've slowed down a bit. I would say the main reason for that is that the car feels heavy and the clutch/gearbox doesn't seem to be designed for lightning fast gear changes. I'm sure there's an element of the "nicer place to be" factor in it as well though.

Yes, the Rover 75 environment does seem to have a calming effect on my driving habits. I would definately say that it has made me more considerate.
Strange that!!!!!!!!!!! |

Actually I've found I now drive much faster! I find she handles so well on the lanes for such a big car... I really have to restrain myself.
Also I've found I've been pulled over by the police more than ever - even when I'm not driving quick Last night's comment from the police was "your exhaust sounds fruity". Eh? It's a standard OEM fit! I didn't want to say "well it is a V6 officer" in case I sounded cocky. I think to be honest they were just after drink-drivers (it was 2am) but still. |

When I bought my non turbo Cit ZX diesel auto, I found the driving style for a diesel is different, I got better results by being gentle with the accelerator than is needed with a petrol engine, probably because there is no throttle to open or close. I find driving my diesel auto 75 is exactly the same..
. to you all. . |
