All 4 of my springs have been changed so am I right in thinking that there isn't an issue once the springs have been changed?

Think the answer to that is 'Dont Know yet'.
I reckon from various threads on front springs that you probably get about six years life from original fits and it doesnt seem to depend on mileage - one or two low mileage cars have suffered at the front. Reckon that we have another three or four years to go before we start finding out if later/replacement batches are any better. Anyway why take a chance - if you already have the protectors make sure that they are fitted after any replacement. If you havent got them fitted why havent you ? They are under a fiver and a few minutes work to fix. And they could save a life |

Later models don't have struts with the pre-drilled mounting holes. Has anyone actually drilled these and if so are the places easily accessible to a typical hand drill?
