.........anyway! Thomas I'm so happy for you, you are a very lucky chap (Tony who gave the car away sounds a very honorable man). Well done to everyone who has been involved in this venture in helping Thomas, such a nice thing to see happen. |

I only came across this thread by chance after reading about the sad news of the passing of Vincent48. Having read every single post of this thread and the other linked thread and I am totally astonished at the incredible generosity of several members who contributed to this marvellous story, suddenly I don't feel quite so sad anymore.

am a newbie as well. i visit the forum almost daily and sometimes more than once. there is so much information on here shared by so many proud owners. my wife finds it amusing and says it keeps me out of trouble! in fact, the board is quite addictive in the nicest way. i have'nt got my head around paypal yet to join here. Back in 2001 i owned a rover con. se cdt which i had bought from marshalls in bedford. it had belonged to a rover franchise manager, was high spec and high mileage and so was out of warranty. no worries there. it gave me 3 years of pleasure before i swapped it for an MGF. years on i am back now happily reunited. onwards and upwards ! I am heading back to Kenya for 4 months mid-sept, so will miss the rover. Something to look forward to when I get back....my wife says I have a wonderful 4 -wheel drive there..not the same is it?

Will you have the internet in Kenya? Even though you won't have the car, it doesn't mean you can't still get your daily fix

Having just been directed here by Reebs' link regarding the unfortunate business with Scorpio Stu's 75, I'd like to take the opportunity to say this sums up everything that'd worthwhile and right about this Club.
Well done, everyone concerned. |
