lol that's me out then.
One question, would you recommend getting the 'special tools' or not? just reading through the Haynes book over lunch and having them seems to make life quite a bit easier. |

You are not guessing at all if you don't use the tools. The marks on the rear sprockets will show you exactly what is going on.
If you can use a ruler, the engine is timed. What's more, if your engine is timed now, and I assume it is?, then after changing the belts, it will be exactly!! where it is now, (provided you don't move a tooth). So it is not a case of guess work at all. Just a case of using marks as you would on a normal engine. |
