Discovered a soggy driver's side carpet...

Rather annoyed at myself, having checked the drains were connected when I first got the car didn't actually check they were clear - they weren't but are now.

Nipping down to Halfords shortly to get the pipe fittings to do the mod and then have to worry about sorting the carpet out. As I now have to take the interior part, might use this as an excuse to fit a superior Mk1 carpet *heads over to wanted forum*

Lesson learned.

Finally fitted the torch in the armrest. Even after being left in shed for a few years still works.

Not a difficult job....I bought a torch in the Pound Shop, threw it into the armrest...simples.

A week later it still works

Removed the rear bumper and removed the rear vents. The seals looked ok so I added some sealant and popped them back in. Hopefully bumper back on tomorrow.

Fitted a NSR sidelamp bulb to one, a NSR brake light to another, and cut the ropey section out of the NSR sill of yet another, then went down to get a new bottle of argon for my TIG........delivery next Wednesday

If nothing else the bulbs work...... it's just as well I have a spare car or two

Had both rear wheel bearings fitted. After wishbone and brake pipes for M.O.T. pass that's my pension car allowance gone for this month.

fitted the mod the the sun roof drain on the driver's side before we get any more rain.

I will check the passenger side, there is signs the glove box has been removed previously so hope that this has been done.

Having had a quick root around under the driver side carpet, suspect the leak has been present for a while, and before I acquired the car, so i think much of the damage has already been done.

Dug holes... in the woods almost all day.
When came back home - did:
- fit walnut gear shift:

- fit 95% of exterior badges which were in to do list:
