x2 ZTs
Hello All,
I recently joined the club at the NEC classic car show in November and with other things coming up ive only just got around to using the forum and intoducing myself, My name is Martin im 22, to start I had a Trophy Blue ZT-T 180 Sports up till 8 weeks ago when i took it to what i thought was a reputable Jaguar/Aston Martin specialist to have all new discs and pads fitted. so that night on the drive home they failed and i wrote it off which i was absolutly gutted about so now ive just bought a Solar Red 180 Sports saloon its got 91,000 on the clock just had the cam belts, discs, pads and full service carried out only got a few things on it to correct the IPK screen is damaged and im waiting for the radio receiver that goes in the boot for the hi-line nav to come back from repair and some stone chips on the bonnet to be tended to, My dad has an X-power Grey 180 sports saloon only done 41,000 one owner and lots of history all that needs doing is the Matrix interior replaced with a nicer higher spec one and the kerbed alloys (from the previous owner) need re-furbing I look forward to becoming a regular visitor around here Martin |

Hello again Martin, glad to see you posting on the forums after chatting to you at the Classic Motor Show
I'm sorry to hear about the Blue ZT, I hope no one was hurt? Excellent that you wasted no time in getting a replacement though. Once you've get the radio tuner back, I'd be interested to know how much they charged for repair and what the fault was. I've had to replace a member's tuner in the past with a second hand unit, as the reception capabilities just went down hill for no obvious reason. I hope you enjoy your time on here |

regards to the radio tuner the dealer i bought the car from had it sent away to be fixed before i bought the car so he thought he would have had it back by the time i picked the car up but me being impatient to get back behind the wheel i picked the car up only 3 days later so when he receives it he will forward it on to me but i will give him a phone call and ask how much it cost and what exactly was the problem because as far as i can see especally after the torrential rain here in essex today the boot is dry as a bone so im guessing it wasnt water ingress and the boot smells clean so its anybodys guess what actually went wrong! Thanks again and im sure ill enjoy my time here with like minded enthusiasts! Martin |

Welcome
Welcome to the club. There is a meet on the 15th January at The Halfway House on the A127 at 1pm why not pop along. I will be bringing my New V8, in Mirage Blue, and if I can get someone to drive, I'll also bring my other ZT in Sunspot Yellow. By the way nice looking cars.
