I also forgot to say yesterday was the first time ever I used the Tees Transporter Bridge (I've only been driving for 21 years and always drove around to Middlesbrough from Hartlepool ) and the bloke in the next car along whilst we were waiting to drive on commented "that's some beast you've got there" lol...turns out he was really into modified Fords in his younger days and also has lots of friends into MGs and said they really know how to make their cars look great and I need to get to the meets so maybe he still goes but only to enjoy the cars.

Just a quick comment before it degenerates into a them and us subject instead of what did you do to your car today; While in Germany, it appears that they really would like us to stay in the EU, but for different reasons than might be being talked about.Spoke to three people and one lady, all German, the lady is returning from Turkey in June with her husband and children, because it is getting dangerous. I think they are worried that without us staying in, Germany will be bankrupted by some of the other countries from the east, but they also think we will go down the tubes if we leave, and they all said that Great Britain gives Europe a bigger voice in the world because we have more experience of the other big players and the way they work. I told one of the men that I was an 'out' voter, and he actually pleaded with me to vote to stay. Sorry but my mind is made up, it's out. By the way, diesel is around 17 pence per litre cheaper in France, and 15 pence less in Germany.

Removed my drivers side cupholder from my manual diesel and fitted it to my V6 auto where it can be used without my left leg breaking it

My airbag light came on😞 and I've a puddle of water under the front offside. It's definitely screen wash.... Just when you think it's all going well!

Picked the car up from the garage today (with my MOT sheet showing no advisories ) having had a new offside front lower arm (wishbone) and near side front track rod end fitted.
I don't know if it's a placebo effect but my ZTT now feels a lot smoother to drive. Garage also told me the noise I have been worried about on start up and then dying down then disappearing after idling for 15min is just my auxiliary belt (strange it needs changing so quickly as I fitted a brand new recommended one from DMGRS when I did the waterpump last summer). The reason the noise disappears is due to the belt warming up which makes sense. The belt does look a bit glazed so I will get a new one ordered up....now decisions decisions, do I fit it myself or go the less hassle route and pay the garage mates rates to fit it lol.
