Rover 75 V8
I am sure this is the site to post this so here goes. I would love a ZT 260 but I have a dicky clutch foot Courtesy of a manual XJ6 and heavy traffic in Manchester. I am therefore looking for an automatic on an 06 plate and I guess that means it will have to be a Rover rather than an MG. Do they Exist?
PS there is a 260 auto box on Ebay. Paul |

Yes, Paul. I've driven a 75 V8 with auto gear box once.

Check that the fuel filter clip has been fitted, and if you're lucky, that the heater hose has been upgraded. (Check out the 260's website.) Good hunting. Peter |

There may be a one off protype 260 with an auto box but not brought to the market. As Juergen says the Rover 75 V8 s are all automatic. I have only sat in one in a showroom while waitng for my ZT V6 to be valeted before taking delivery. I almost changed my mind and bought the V8 but it was another 8K so .

Hi Paul
All 75 V8s are Auto There are a few auto zt260s especaily in Australia but I don't know of any rhd ones over here, a member here has an auto ZTT 260 but his is lhd as he lives in Lithuania The hydraulic clutch on the manual V8 is very heavy but not as heavy as the original design which was cable operated! Mine is about twice as heavy as my 75 Diesel. |

Thanks guys. I have a personal 06 plate to go on this car so it has to be 06 or 56 registered unfortunately.

I looked at a 56 plate one at SMC in High Wycombe a couple of months ago. It was in Oddysey blue.
There is a very nice silver Contempory SE on Autotrader - has been there for ages though. It has black & white leather. I like it (want it). |
