What's the current best make of drop links the dmgrs ones got good feedback a few years back or my local factors have Moog ones for a little bit more they also offered borg and beck but these are not too good apparently?

Whatever you get, check it. Mine from Rimmers a couple of years back the top joint was fixed to the shaft by two tiny welds - it broke off. Sure it was replaced under 12 months guarantee but why replace rubbish with rubbish?
Matt at DMGRS seems to have no issues with the ones he supplies so this would be my choice.

I might be wrong with this but I think I read somewhere the weight of the car must be on the wheels when tightening the drop links into place.----------I'm sure one of the forum members will know for sure however.

Correct John, nip them up when fitting, then drop the car and tighten 👍

Thanks for that confirmation Ron.---If not done correctly the life of the drop link is greatly shortened because, I believe, the rubber is not designed to have most of the twisting motion happen in one direction only.--It literally tears itself apart.

Could easily be the cause of the short life that many forum members complain about.---( shooting themselves in the foot, so to speak.----)

Default Drop links.

The last pair of front drop links i fitted were ball jointed at both ends (I know because I carefully lifted the gaiters and added grease to the joints before fitting), as they are ball joints they can be done up with the car in off the ground, they will just rotate in their sockets as the suspension settles.

We sell buckets of our items, and have very few issues - of course if you have issues we also offer a 4 year no-quibble warranty. They're here:
https://www.dmgrs.co.uk/products/rov...inks-rbm100240

Another option is that a little later in the year we'll have a limited number of 'old stock' Drop Links from Longbridge - these were the items fitted at the production line we've found in storage after 15 years.
They last like nothing else in our experience, but we're a few months off getting our hands on them yet.
