Para 3 below the diagram:

On some models the angle of the restraint can be adjusted. Tilt the restraint to ensure it is as close to the back of the head as possible.

Doesn't say which models or give details on exactly how to adjust them.

I wonder if that is just a generic description in case they decided to fit tilt adjustable head restraints at some point.

I would have thought that if it did indeed happen someone would have noticed by now and said “well they tilt on my car”!

There are definitely some headrests that tilt, there isn’t a button, it’s just a movement that is done by pulling the headrest.

I am going to have to go outside and heave on a head rest and see what happens!

Just had a look at the ZT - non-tilting '54' MGZT. An observation: they are shaped towards the head, concave and the back is convex so if you were to reverse it would be nearer your head. Maybe some safety problem, just a thought. Chris S.

Just popped outside and checked my headrests - the ones in my '03 conn SE tourer tilt whereas the ones in my 04 (53) mk1 ZT-T don't.
Does that help at all?

I doubt if they would reverse. if I recall correctly the height locking slots are only cut into one side of the "legs".

Tilting headrests were fitted on Club and Connoisseur models. Headrests on Classics and any models with sports seats adjusted for height only.
