Finally got around to fitting one of Arctic's S/S handbrake compensator's to my "new" green tourer. It's only been waiting since October .

I now have a lovely solid feeling lever and a locked solid pair of rear wheels .

With the usual thanks to Steve for both the compensator and, of course, the excellent "How to..." Cheers mate.

VVC manifold refitted, turned into a bit of a PITA, leaking whereinjectors go into rail, took apart and luckily I had some new O rings, O rings looked ok but assume with age they must have gone a little hard or something
Started her up and revved like crazy, always a good plan to reconnect servo pipe
Having to split the manifold to access injectors the gasket has been damaged so need to change that tomorrow
Hopefully be back running soon

6/2/21 Today’s tip
Dont put any sealant on the gasket between upper and lower VVC manifold - it lets the gasket ooze out of the join

" goodbye mucky yellow!"

I like that. I like the way lights fade off when switched off rather than a sharp change.

Today I fitted new front discs and pads to the 75 tourer, thoroughly cleaned and checked the calipers and sorted the 'baggy' inner wing liners (been pulled off their mounts and displaced since I have been traversing the flooded local roads on a daily basis lately).
Checked the plenum (again!), its been extremely wet here lately - makes me nervous, was clean and dry so no need to have worried.
Fitted a new pollen filter, checked the tyre pressures and gave it a quick test drive (just to bed in the brakes of course).
Tidied up and filled the coal scuttles ready for the predicted snow and cold weather (only have open fire heating indoors, but it does heat the back boiler so lots of 'free' hot water!).

Do you mean for the oil filter? If so it's a 36mm socket required. If you mean for the sump plug, I can't remember
