MK 1 for me too. The twin headlights, the chrome, a dark colour ( Copperleaf), looks excellent in my book. It just looks like a Rover

Tbh no, although it was a nice car I was never a fan of either model of the 75.

The mk1 zt I loved it as soon as I first set eyes on it, I do like my mk 2 , but, that front bumper.

Has to be a Mk1 every time for me, whether 75 or ZT.

The facelift styling suited the ZT better than the 75 in my book; the more modern lines suit a "sporting" car better.

I still prefer the MkI in both iterations, though.

I think the real question is would you have bought a face-lift had the interior been restyled the same as the Roewe 750!

Default No.

I wouldn't want a facelift model, it was all about cutting costs and it shows in so many ways. I wanted a 75 from the moment I saw them but that was the MK1 of course. I couldn't afford a 75 at the time and had to wait, I then became addicted to the ZT and that stainless mesh that made the front look serpent like and very mean, the facelift model looks like Dame Edna Everage and less threatening than a good trump in the marital bed. The curves of the MK1 are taken away in the facelift, that straight moulded line across the rear bumper is hideous.

You're obviously a very kind man, Ron... wish I saw a Beemer when I looked at mine

This has got me thinking, though... anybody know how easy/difficult it is to swap an older front end onto my facelift? I know I'd have to source and spray a bumper and the older light clusters...

I had a Mk1 ZT and now have a Mk2 ZT and think the facelift on that does suit it more, think it does have a sharper look. They could have perhaps carried over the stainless wire mesh grilles. There was also Project Drive with the Mk2s which did make it feel a bit cheaper, but I've fitted a lot of the PPD bits back so now have the car I think it should be.

I've never been quite sure of the Mk2 75, I think it's the indicators that don't quite work for me.
