With the BMW it's very likely that you can, all you need is the right equipment, and you can programme and reprogramme, it's all available, but the good cloned stuff isn't cheap

if they cannot use indicators, do you really think a BMW driver knows there is a full beam?

A mate with a 10 year old Skoda Octavia that he bought while still under warranty went into the main dealer to say he had a fault with the lights in the bottom of the front bumper. The dealer said these were cornering lights and they were not activated unless he paid £80. Everything was there including the bulbs but the software needed activation.

He didn't bother and when he went to a specialist once the warranty had finished they switched them on for free.

On my Transit van it has the basic display but apparently the dealers can switch on loads of other bits and even cruise control is only a switch and a software click to activate and my van is 12 years old.

More likely they use it all the while (including daylight) and need assist to find dipped beam or Off.

I wonder how long it will take them to run adverts on those screens & then ask you if you want to go ad free by paying 'X' amount of money to shut them off
Yeah, but we will be able to buy the "keys" on the dark web and £-bay!

Well, in my neck of the woods people/drivers keep their high beam on either:-

1. Slow reactions (to turn back to dip).
or
2. They keep high beam on so that they can continue to drive (fast) and don't want to pay "SpecSaver" prices.
