I thought this (flawed?) scheme had closed back in 2020. They had talked about a new scheme but as yet I have seen nothing.

Most probably because they were waiting on the result of the latest Court Case.

I was attempting to be amusing in my two posts which were intended to refer to SCP440's final comment just before them!

Absolutely normal. How many ceo's of NHS Trusts were found wanting, eventually pushed out with a big payout and then re-employed at another NHS Trust. You just couldn't make it up. These type of people are never held accountable and I would not be surprised if honours were bestode on her and her like when they think the dust is settled.

I wonder if this colleague is cut from the same sordid cloth?

Nope, CofE stands for sumptious palaces and the flow of money from impoverished parish churches to the diocese/head honcho!

What about the Crown Prosecution Service who sent a lot of the innocent to prison etc?

I believe a certain Mr Starmer was in charge at the time

From 2008 to 2014 I believe - when the bulk of the wrongful prosecutions took place.

Frankly - I think it is highly questionable that he oversaw these prosecutions based on highly dodgy evidence and then he also decided in 2009 not to prosecute Jimmy Saville on the grounds that there was insufficient evidence.

I also find it odd that when this Jimmy Saville debacle was reviewed the CPS said that “records relating to the decision not to charge Saville were not kept.”

This was apparently “in-line with its data retention policy”.

Hmmmm!

Something is odd with the counter on this Petition, every time I look at it the number starts at 11.790. I have done it 3 times now it is the same every time.
I noticed something odd too. I tried to donate £10 via Paypal. I was about to hit the pay button when I noticed it was £10/month. It wouldn't allow me to switch to a one off payment, so I gave it a miss for now.
To the issue itself, I find this hard to understand. Smells of corruption and cover up at the highest level yet what was the motivation?. The frustrating thing is we all pay via taxes for every step of the incompetence at every stage as it all unfolds, yet those actually responsible get away with just resigning, as if that helps alleviate the collosall mental and fiscal anguish they caused.
