Cool More work carried out today.

Since the cam belt was replaced this tick over has been a bit erratic, but once on the road she has run sweet. Following on from advice from Dave Lincs I got Matt Darke to do a compression test today. All four cylinders were exactly the same. No oiling on the plugs but the gaps looked to large. So the plugs and coil packs were changed. Also changed was the cam cover gasket, as there appeared oil weeping out.
Runs a whole lot better the tick over is more steady.

Another 4 jobs were carried out on Banana. For some reason my DRL’s behind the lower grill had stopped working, also neither spotlights were working. And only one horn working. Around my spotlights were led halo’s and they had stopped working awhile ago. So Matt phoned a friend, and along came Pete who is a auto spark. What a whizz. He rewired the DRL’s and got them working. He even got the halo’s working, the wiring had given up the ghost. And a fuse had blown hence no spotlights. Matt found a second horn and that was installed to replace the one that was at fault.

Still a few jobs to be done, drop links, door cards and the seal to be replaced around the lip spoiler.

And Shirley even cooked me a dinner.

The drive home was so much better, I even managed three figures of 69.9mph or Warp Factor 3.

I’m so lucky to have such good friends.

Glad you caught the belt in time Bob, and well done to Matt, Shirly and friends for coming to your rescue.
