Default Skoda minibus

North Yorkshire Police stopped an uninsured Skoda Octavia near Malton and were stunned when nine, yes NINE, people piled out of it. Two in the front, five crammed into the rear seat and two in the back.

Probably one of the biggest “Re-brand” successes ever, Skoda.

Remember the old jokes?

How do you double the resale value of a Skoda? - Half fill the tank with petrol.

What’s the most common Nick-name for a Skoda? - Skip.

Then came that remarkable Advertising campaign centred on the badge where a parking Attendent apologises to a Skoda driver as “someone has swapped the wrong badge onto your car”.

Hugely successful and effective.

It'll be interesting to see what penalty this driver gets for carrying 9 people in an uninsured vehicle.

I wonder if it'll send a message to and be a deterrent for others thinking of doing the same. Or just be a slap on the wrist and a bit of a telling off with no real consequence for the choices made by the driver.

What was hugely effective was being placed into the VAG and all their, and don't forget, EU monies.

Lonely days are long
Twilight sings a song
All the happiness that used to be

Soon my eyes will close
Soon I'll find repose
And in dreams, you're always near to me

I'll see you in my dreams
And then I'll hold you in my dreams

Why do Skodas have heated rear windows? So your hands don't get cold when pushing them
