Default Will we see a better goal?

Czech Republics' second goal this afternoon from about 49.7 yards. Just seen the measurement on BBC1
Brilliant strike.

It was funny to watch it from behind the goal seeing the keeper sprinting back and crashing into the back of the net

Reminds me of the one Beckham scored all those years ago from the halfway line against Wimbledon (I think).

Looking forward to Friday.

Seeing this type of goal more and more ( I've seen at least four this season in various leagues round the World) plus many more attempts at doing it.
All stems from the modern day coaching that brings the goalkeeper further down the pitch, often out of his area, almost to act as a sweeper in the defense. Obviously they are also looking to cut out the ball over the top for a speedy forward on the break.

Don't think we will see Marshall so far out of his area from now on.

However with the speed of the English forwards perhaps he should...........will be a long night for the Scots I feel.

Cymru am byth.

Aye, a good team goal will always be better in my eyes than someone taking a gamble from the halfway line. As you say Belgiums tonight were good as was Portugals third the other night.........fantastic skill in the box , great movement and skill from Ronaldo before putting the ball in from only 1 to 2 yards.
