Default Quite interesting strip down

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OiITqMwsZs8

Don't know if this has been mentioned yet.

If I was ever tempted to strip down my IPK ( which I wasn't ) this video has convinced me not to.

Not too complicated but still doesn't mean I'd want to do it!

So does this mean that a badly lined display can be swapped out or is there some intelligence in the display that means the whole unit need virginising (or the eprom swapped out) and T4'd

These videos always make things look easy, but most things are if you’ve done them a few times.

Hi Kevin.
That was Pete (Klarzy) who used to sort out the IPK on here.
I stripped a few back in 2011 but never got it down to a fine art like Pete

A while back I managed to strip mine down when the sounder failed, but then put it back together again when I realised my soldering skills would have done more harm than good. I took it over to Klarzy, who made it look so easy.
Recently when it needed more work I didn't hesitate and sent it to Rick.
Each to their own and electronic circuitry isn't mine!

Yup Steve I thought that it was possibly someone on here as they mentioned a forum.

Its excellent for someone who is having a go and can keep referring back to the video but looks a bit too detailed for me ever to be tempted to have a go although very interesting to see whats inside the IPK.

I'd rather leave it to the experts after ( and before ) watching the strip down
