Last couple of weeks
My Rover 75 is up for sale, beautiful drive, good looker etc.
Two weeks ago i had a rattle develop on tickover, no rattle when moving. Local garage identified the cat breaking down, so one ordered for fitting. Yesterday after a hospital appointment for a CT Scan, wife and I went for a long lovely ride in the new forest, car running beautifully, a real joy to drive, air (very cold) on most of the day. Just as i arrived home a smell of electrical burning and smoke from extreme front of car. I think the fan area. Garage having a look at it on Monday. Went to the shop last night, i did not use the fan or air at all ran beautifully. I really do not need this kind of luck at the moment, although i am pleased a possible new owner didn't have this bad luck. |

I've heard of a few garages quote for replacement cats recently. Remove original cat, fit £150 replacement, sell original for £600+ and they profit quite a lot. |
