Fitted the new headlights and front bumper.
Needs a bit of lining up but all went together easily.
The old o/a headlight is well and truly smashed, insides all loose and the back casing has a large hole in it.

Strangely the horn hasn't worked since the bump but cant see anything wrong with it , any ideas (it did make a strange squeaky noise yesterday but now is dead)
New number plate fitted to finish it off.

Stan

What I did with my Rover 75/MG ZT today? Well I drove it, and once again marvelled at how much difference a recent new engine mount made to the gear changing (smoother) and overall sound (quieter).

The old one was completely knackered, to be fair.

Wired a DPDT relay into Deb's ZTT, she now has the fuel burner on remote and it switches the blowers on, a nice toasty car for when she starts driving again.

Where can I get one of these remotes?

I used one of these

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324068663061

You will also need a dpdt relay to switch the blowers on inside the car, there are full wiring instructions on here if you search.

Talk to Trebor & Devilish on here.

Had my FBH set up so I can turn it on and off by text message with a tell tail LED by the interior mirror and the ability to turn on the air con to defrost/warm the car up ready for you to jump in - absolutely brilliant.
There's a few recent posts about their expertise.

I took the front bumper off and replaced the burners in both headlamps today, then gave the lenses a polish as they were starting to dull, I couldn't spray them in clearcote as they need 24 hours to dry, instead they had a good coating of turtle wax headlamp restorer, it also gave me the opportunity to have a check around on the front of the engine, since fitting an engine tray I'm surprised at how dry it all is in there.
I also checked then nipped up all the allen bolts on the undertray.

The bonnet needs moving back slightly but I'll do that when we have a couple of days of dry weather as I can then align the whole front properly and clearcote the headlamps.

I managed to separate the dosing pump from the bracket without damaging anything, next stage is to finish off rubbing it down then some paint.

Hi Dave. I have always said that you can tell if an undertray has been fitted or not. We have had some motors come to the Nano Meets at Four Ashes, and as soon as the bonnet went up, you could tell if there was an undertray fitted or not, by the amount of crud that was in,on or around the engine bay. There have been various discussions about whether they are there for cleanliness or to quieten the noise down, but I believe it is to keep the road dirt out and the water when it rains.
