horn beep when turning engine off

evening all , i know when you try and lock the car with a door or bonnet ajar the horn emits a beep , twice when i have turn the engine off after returning home , the horn beeps , exactly like the door is open , no warning lights or anything , only done it twice so far and both times when parked in the same place , any ideas

You're probably pressing one of the buttons when turning the key. Done it myself

don't the doors still try to lock then though...?

had the same problem bonnet sensor was at fault had water in it.sometimes after locking the car the alarm would go off after about 10 -15 mins. as well.

I get 3 beeps from the 260 when i turn the igntion on !!

no , definatley not pressing any buttons , all the doors are shut and bonnet sensor is removed , after driving for 30 mins , pull up , turn lights off , turn ignition key to off and as it reaches off , the horn beeps once , i dont thinks its related to doors , but i am at a loss to what else it could be

do you have message centre... it should show you the doors or bonnet / boot are open...

if you are not trying to lock then it will not be a switch, possibly an EWS issue or a fault in the alarm itself..?

Try taking your alarm fuse out then see if it still happens.fuse is in the passenger footwell can't remember fuse number.
