Default Wind up window to electric

I've had to buy a new wing, front door and rear door following a fail to stop collision on my ZTT the other day and have managed to get all the bits in the right colour and in good condition. Saved the ZTT getting written off and the parts were cheaper than the excess would of been !

In any case, I've got home to realise the rear door that I've bought has a wind up window (cant recall the last car I had that had these!) and my car has electric rear windows.

As I have to change the door cards, does anyone know if I can simply change the electric mechanism from my damaged door into the replacement ? The replacement door has a loom connection which I assume would contain the connector inside the door to facilitate connection to the motor.

One of those situations where you find what you want for sale , when you need it quickly, and forget to think of something as simple as looking if its a manual window or electric.

I'm hoping its a possibility as the door is in great condition and the paint match is spot on, the donor door was from the same year as mine.

Any info would be great.

Oz.

As long as you have the loom it can be done -Trikey was setting about to swop my rear manual windows for electric windows - however my car did not have the required looms Maybe worth dropping Trikey a PM for the details.

No problems at all If I remember correctly, All you have to do is swap
the harness and the mechanics from your existing door. Make sure you use your original door card

Hi, I'm busy with a wind up window to electric upgrade for my zt cdti mk1.
I've already got all the needed parts fitted from my R75 mk1 donor, except for the (used) BCU.
Fortunately I've found a very dusty, but working T4 system in a corner at my work.
So I got the aux configuration data out of my car, which I understand I might need.
This is as far as I got, could anyone point me in the right direction what to do next?
I'm also very interested in a remote boot unlock like the mk2's have.
What should I do to make both wishes come true? Just find any (used) highline mk2 BCU,
and then change the zcs codes (with some help from one of the zcs code changing specialists?
Best regards, Jarno.

PM me the ZCS coding and I will sort it out for you, you will need a YAC001521 or YAC001522 BCU to support remote boot release, if your car is KMB04 already it will be much easier, if not then it's not a problem

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I’ve been thinking about this for a while now and I was wondering how would I know if I have correct wiring to be able to retro fit rear electric windows?

The loom should normally be there in the car -however i was unlucky and it was not - so i would work on the assumption you should have the wiring - i think it is unusual if it is absent.
