Default Heated seat timer

Morning all

Have noticed that my heated seats stay on until I turn them off by hand .
Now I know they are on a timer of sorts . But is there a way of overriding the timer or is it my timer is not working .
That's both sides and possibly the heated rear screen all stay on till switched off.

Thanks all.
Steve

Mine stay on for 15 minutes, then the light on the switches go off.

The seats seems to heat up only for about 3 minutes though !

Pete.

Mine behave much like yours Pete. It takes a few minutes before feeling the heat and then they just switch themselves off. I guess the timer/thermostat needs some kind of adjustment or replacement but where is the culprit located?

Mine are the opposite. Stay on till I turn them off.

There was a posting on here some time back, where someone changed the thermistors inside the seats, for higher rated ones. I thought I had saved it to my hard drive but can't find it now. Basically the thermistor (ie thermostat) was changed for a higher temp one. i believe there is one for each part of the seat (and repeated on the other seat; though it might only be 1 per seat. It also involves a complete strip of the seat. Also, I would add a warning about high temperature and the foam in the seat if you are experimenting!

Might be worth a search of the site to find the post?

Also I purchased from ebay, a kit of seat heaters to fit on the older car I had to replace the faulty thermistor, as also recommended by someone as an alternative.
