Default This was hanging down

Hello - be grateful for a bit of advice on this one. Now that shielding is easing off I've started having a look at the 75 I bought a couple of years ago. There are a few things that need a bit of sorting out but when I was cleaning out the passenger footwell I noticed some wiring hanging down with a small gizmo attached.
To be honest I'm not sure what it is - I've had a look through the Haynes manual and I'm still not sure. I've attached a photo (I hope).

Any thoughts greatly appreciated

Cheers

not knowing what car you have, it could be a connection for cruise control.
May perhaps even be traction control but someone else will need to advise.
if you dont have either of these two then I suspect no need to worry tuck it back up with the fuses

Not sure but if you have the x6 cassette CD player in the glove box then it's possibly the multi-plug connector

Many thanks for the info. The car doesn't have cruise control or a glovebox mounted CD (it's in the boot). However will drop down the fuse box in the passenger side this coming week and have a good look around.

It does sound as though it's not likely to be anything critical so again many thanks for the info.

Cheers

Tony

That looks very much like the power supply to the glove box light.

Maybe not, on second thoughts it's nothing like it lol

Forget I said anything

My guess its either for cruise ecu or the autobox ecu plug.
