Talking of rock groups from the 70s what about THIN LIZZY, Lynott, Gorham, Downey and Robertson.

Spent his latter days painting pictures (in the desert of Arizona I believe) and making a few quid too for his expressionist paintings which are quite sort after.

Sadly died in 2010 after suffering a long battle with MS. lasted longer than most rockers of the 60's & 70's though.
The Captain was THE MAN. Went to his art exhibition in London in 1986 and met him and his wife, Jan, at the gallery. Got talking to him and was invited by him and his wife to have lunch nearby. One of the BEST days of my life......

Unfortunately, I missed most of that era. I had started a new job that promised a lot but needed even more. It was lucky there were only seven days in the week. However, caught up with it on the nostalgia trip we go through at 40.

I think that's about no. 2 on my list of favourite lyrics (if I actually had such a list) . No. 1 is Pink Floyd's 'One of these days' (it was years before I actually listened closely enough to decipher that lyric)
