Similar film about an Olympic runner but his "torturer" would not meet him after the war.

Yes, that is the one.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Demonstrations galore against the war but nery a peep about the higher toll.

The true cost of Communism in total far exceeds any of these, well over 100 million and still counting. The Gulags of the USSR made a significant contribution.

The second bomb dropped by the Americans was made from uranium 237 where the first was uranium 234 same material different isotope.
Both bombs were air detonated at 1500 feet causing massive destruction.
To my knowledge there has never been a deuterium oxide bomb ever deployed better known as a hydrogen bomb.
I keep wondering when we will kill our self’s. The closest I during my first life was servicing a squadron of Vulcan’s that were sitting on the runway 24/7 during the Cuban carry on in the 60s. These aircraft carried NATOs reply should the Soviet Union have launched a missile strike on the US. It is an episode of my life that I would like to forget, but it will be with me till die. Today the Royal Navy carry our nuclear deterrent. The bombs dropped on Japan are tiny in comparison to what we have today.

The death toll in ww1 was 20million. With a further 21 million casualties
In ww2 the death toll was 75million and there are still casualties every other day today some 75 years after it finished.

My father was in the Police 60s and 70s. He had Civil Defence nuclear war publications "hidden" in a cupboard, I read them more than once and even at a young age they made the hair on my neck stand up. Sadly I think he must have chucked them or possibly had to hand them back when he left the force.

Thanks for that update. Knew there was a difference but couldn't remember the exact difference (in retrospect).
