Default Front coil springs ZT face lift diesel

Hi all, I hope everyone is well and all is going good with everyone.

It appears I need two new front coil springs for my ZT. I've had a look on DMGRS and all I can find is rear tourer springs.
What springs and where from does everyone recommend please? I want to keep the car as close to original as possible with regards ride height and spring stiffness.
My car is a face lift ZT saloon with the 2.0 diesel running a manual gearbox.

Many thanks in advance.
Richard

You need to remove the rear seat bench and under it you will find a sticker with the correct spring codes for your car. Then go to Rimmerbros website and look for the ones you need.

Thanks Ravinder. Is the sticker obviously coil spring related?

yes , it contains damper and spring codes. Make a note of them as the sticker can wear away

I'm doing this job at the moment Richard. The sticker Ravinder mentions gives two letter "C.I." codes (no-one seems to know what that means) for "Front RH" and "Front LH".

An alternative to Rimmer Bros. is to send an e-mail to X-Part at [email protected] giving your VIN. Or you can leave a message for them on 0116 296 7888 as I did and they'll return your call quickly. You can buy the correct springs directly from them whilst avoiding some of the more dodgy aftermarket offerings!

Contact dmgrs and ask if he has got any.
I brought a pair of complete struts from him with diesel springs and they built them up for me.
Been on the car for a while now and no problems with them.

Search eBay number 313256408444

I bought these after returning the ones I bought from Rimmer bros.
The diesel ZT have only two types of front spring brown brown sport or brown red sport comfort.

I’ve fitted these to my own car and they are spot on.

Thanks everyone.

Just wondering Alf, why did you end up returning the Rimmer Bros. coil springs please?

Many thanks

Richard
