Got mine too.
There's one advantage having a silver car over some of the other colours is that you get an extra bottle of base coat included in the kit.

Hope to be able to give it a try before the meet on Sunday.

Just got out of bed at 2:30pm (on nights this week) to find mine had arrived. It is now 3:15pm and the first test application is drying on the boot

Anybody managed to try their kit yet, Bigruss and I got ambushed by the weather today. I plan to clay the bonnet , then apply the procedure. Is that the correct way or should I clay afterwards ??

Dave, I would be inclined to clay first then use the kit otherwise you may undo your good work.
Only problem is the kit states not to wax it afterwards for about 3 days, so your car may not be as shiny for the meet on Sunday
Guess we'll have to just aviod those bits.

But first we need some good weather to get it done!!!!!!!!!

Am thinking of taking the kit to the meet, then some of the others can see how it works and the results (if it doesn't rain again)

used my Dr Colorchip today and am very impressed with the results.

I tried both methods -
1) dabbing each and every part of the road rash with the paint and then rubbing it off with the Sealact, and also

2) putting the paint on a rag and smearing it over the rash and then cleaning with the Sealact.

Number 1 is the best option in my opinion as you use less paint and cleaner, it might seem tedious going over every spot but it cleans off quicker that way.

With the number 2 method it applies the paint quicker but you then have more paint smeared on which takes longer to get off and as said you use more paint and cleaner that way.

I first of all cleaned off the paint after 2 minutes as it says but after a while i was leaving it on a lot longer than that and the cleaner fetched it off, admittingly with a bit of encouragement.

Overall a simple but great product, the results on mine are really good, i did take some pics but noty turned out very well i am afraid.

If you bought one of these kits but havent used it because of earlier posts on the subject, go for it is my advice.

I can only asume Ray was unfortunate enough to have a duff sample when he tried his.

I reckon i can do my whole car with my road rash kit, and still have some left for future touch ups.

I am also going to try a small area using my MG Rover touch up paint and the Sealact cleaner tomorrow, if that works we would only need to resource the Sealact and the job would become cheaper to do.

Good to hear that Rob,

It was always the sealact that will be in short supply and will be exhausted long before the paint. We need to scource the sealact if we can.
Now, where is Bigruss when you need him ..........
