Default Parrot kit will not work

I've not used one for years but just bought a car transporter that has a parrot hands free kit installed. Can't pair my phone to it. Just freezes. I'm thinking it needs ripping out and getting a new one unless anyone knows of a fix for it?

Have you checked that the storage isn't full, you may have to delete a few stored numbers in order for it to recognise your phone.

I get to the point in the menus where old numbers appear and then it freezes. Would be ideal if there was a reset option or factory settings to wipe it clean.
