To App or not to App, that is the question:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/53168438

To be, or not to be, that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles
And by opposing end them. To die—to sleep,
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to: 'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep;
To sleep, perchance to dream—ay, there's the rub:
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause—there's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life.
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
Th'oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely,
The pangs of dispriz'd love, the law's delay,
The insolence of office, and the spurns
That patient merit of th'unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? Who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscovere'd country, from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all,
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pitch and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry
And lose the name of action.

Those words from 400 years ago, how precisely apt today. Again, there's nothing new under the sun.

Most annoying: they really do think we are all that stupid. The papers today, although they don't admit it, are printing the death knell of liberty and freedom of thought, speech and movement. All on the back of a fallacy which had become gospel which has become law.

Many false promises along the way eg: Three members of my family were NHS staff, from auxiliary nursing to theatre. NHS has saved my life twice. All that some years ago.

Within the last two years other family members have been lied to more than once, suffered two misdiagnoses both of which could have been fatal but for our own diligence, surgery sending prescriptions signed by proxy to allow prescriptions to be sent automatically to an outside pharmacy and lately refusing appointments 'to protect staff'. Their adopted sainthood is not universal, just for the record.

I see the Dorset beaches are showing high levels of human density at the moment. Wonder how many of them are refusing to send their kids to school as it's "not safe" and are claiming 80% of their wages from the UK tax payer.

Those in the NHS who have been working tirelessly over the past 3 months or so are probably asking themselves why bother.

I wonder how many millions of "cases" have gone unnoticed Dave, never mind reported

Makes you wonder doesn't it

I was down at the beach today, plodging with the dog, lots of families, lots of space around them too, and really nice to see people enjoying themselves for a change.

I firmly believe that there are far more of the population who have had C-19 than the powers that be think. Take where my missus works, the home was rife with it and almost 40% of the residents passed away. We are certain that the vast majority of the staff and their co-habitants have also had the disease. We are now waiting the arrival of the antibody test to confirm. Only then will we know the true figures and that only when they have covered a massive proportion of the population.

Indeed Dave, Marina's position must be an awful one to be in, Chris on the other hand has seen every one of her covid patients go on to make complete recoveries.

I'd be surprised given the amount of hours Marina was being asked to work, along with the reduction in staffing, if she didn't bring it home with her.

As you say antibody testing is the way forward, it's pointless knowing if someone with symptoms has it as the infectious period is seven day prior to the onset of symptoms, and what we need are the figures of the people who don't even realise they've had it.

Then and only then, our life balance can be restored

No Jon, I regret, the opposite has a greater effect on the non-target. All those who dared to contribute to the subject that were not in support of the view of the accuser would be wondering....'does he mean me'?

So, many may get partially insulted and the guilty laugh it off because the accuser lacks the courage to be honest and chooses to hide behind ambiguity. If one is to insult somebody they should at least have the courage of their convictions. And if necessary, pm them. If not even that, they should shut up. There is nobody on here who lacks the ability to criticise with a degree of charm.
