Rover 75 2.0 V6 saloon won't start after 8 months

Hi there from northern part of Norway.

I bought a Rover with very low mileage 1 year ago. Drove it home, a beautiful car, placed it in a hired garage, disconnected the starterbattery, took the key and left the car resting for several months.

Yesterday, with new plates, I went to the garage and was looking foreward for a luxury ride. But the car would not start - just a bunch of clics again and again. The starter engine was not working at all.

Starterbattery is all new with 13.2 volts.

So now I hope you guys can help me - and hopefully step by step.
