As a local born within earshot of the Austin 'bull' whilst sad at the demise of the works the transformation is quite remarkable and still plenty of space to go at on the west works site.
Amazing how those machines chomp up girders.

Also amazing how that 75 ton crusher, would cope with girders, without being broken/over loaded.

I wondered if it would be the MGR plant when it mentioned Birmingham,watching the recorded programme now. I'm pleased I have a photo my first 75 outside the gates, just to show MGR did once exist
