Default AV registration

I've noticed that many late model ZTs and 75s (including mine) have AV (Ipswich) registrations anyone know why this is.
Cheers Ian

I think one of the big lease car fleets was based in the Ipswich area, certainly one of the commercial vehicle leasers was. Both of my MGs are East Anglian registered but were private sales, one was from Holden MGR Norwich & the other from Inchcape of Kings Lynn.

Well yours is obviously a Birmingham Registration number, supplying Dealer will be in the Service Book.

Correct, if no Service History exists, or Dealer wording on the Number Plates, locating the Dealer becomes difficult.
