On the fuse: had this and had to take the seat out.

Heated seat is switched negative, so there is always positive voltage on the heated seat circuit!

Problem was that a wire of the bottom seat heating element was shaved and touching the metal bottom spring.... and thus shortcutting as it is always positive. Repaired the wire and all good for many years now.

So checking the wiring could give you the source of the problem and be able to fix it.

Yes, it does work like that Galambosi. You can therefore apply 12v directly to the motor connector but do it quickly because there will probably be sparking due to the current being drawn.
