Default my 1st time...

Had a 2 hour assesment interview on Tuesday for a job. What a palava.Never had to do role play or group exercise tasks for a job position before.Apparently it is now widely used (american led) system of choosing the right candidate to " Fit " the vacancy. What happened to experience" in the roll " and what i call " normal " interview tecniques..Won't know while end of next week whether I scored high enough to be offered a position , but not overly confident. If it was a straight practical interview based on my work experience , then i would be quite positive...

Good luck, hope you get the job.
I've been for a couple of interviews lately and they certainly ain't what they were when I left school

Again, Good Luck.

I hate interviews like that. I have zero self-confidence so would fail before i walked through the door, despite being able to do the job.
My weirdest interview was a group interview - simultaneously selecting candidates from a room of 10 or so.
A friend has an interview coming up shortly - it's a whole day thing with lunch provided - and that's after two intense telephone interviews!!

Why can't we focus on being British rather than always copying the Yank's

Better luck next time eh? I got one of three jobs available at Toys R Us. I did the role play, sold a toy/demonstrated etc. Why, out of 30 applicants I got picked I'll never know. I was 60 at the time Left after a few weeks, it got so boring.
