I can definitely confirm it's Moonstone Green.. I know that because that's my car!! Where did you get the photo? Before I got it a year and a bit ago it was the Project Car on the AROnline Forum, so loads of history! Mike (one of the Forum guys) spray canned the sills & bumper bottoms and fitted the Hairpin wheels, as well as lots more stuff. I love it, and Moonstone! Kind regards John

I love those wheels.
I've got forks on mine, I don't really like them. Did he say why he painted the sills John & bumper bottoms John? |

A couple of reasons.... Before becoming the Forum project 75, an earlier owner had scuffed the bottom of the rear bumper and on one sill. Rather than costly repair work he satin blacked all round. He had "un Project Drived" the car as well, so was happy to make it look like an earlier Mark 1 . Personally I prefer body coloured bottoms....! Happy Roving John

have you done much to change/improve/personalise the car yourself? Paul. |

Well I've washed, polished, waxed, detailed and hoovered it to death quite a few times since I got her! Seriously, I've had a clutch and slave fitted by AndyW on here just for peace of mind, refurbished the Hairpins and fitted Wind Deflectors all round. Apart from that it's just been easy. enjoyable driving.... The 1.8 is not everyone's favourite, and judging by other threads neither is Moonstone Green, but I just love the car. There's a few things I want to do, but not yet got round to (e.g front and reversing sensors) but will get there.... What about yours? John PS. I'm sitting outside in 25deg on a campsite in Spain, next to a beach with a coffee and cheap Spanish brandy next to me, "chatting" about Rover 75's. Does life get any better!? Cheers f'now

K-series is the best engine available in these cars easy to learn and really not difficult to work on i think the moonstone has stood the test of time well still looks fresh - compared to some of the mk1 colours i've seen on the road my car is an ongoing project, which as a daily driver means one thing at a time and as funds allow i'm about 2 weeks shy of having her for 1 year and i've what has been required and some personal taste improvements head gasket was done (after failure) around 1000 miles ago along with water pump cambelt etc.. new cat, new backbox and a new 12months m.o.t can only be better if you drove to spain ? and get to drive back ? - in a 75 of course Paul. |

I must admit even though mine is Starlight Silver I'm drawn to the dark blue which I think looks superb!

I'm driving a motorhome (the 75 is tucked up cosy and dry under cover at home!) I've only seen a few 75's whilst in Spain (and driving through France) In Spain I have only seen dark blue 75's, and I can see the paintwork must suffer.... being dark probably doesn't help.... as the bonnets and roofs are very discoloured by the heat. Funnily enough I saw a dark blue model 75 (a Toy Model made by Vanguard) all boxed up in a Model Shop window in a village in France. I went in to have a look (schoolboy french only!) to discover he actually also had a Moonstone Green model too! Mousieur Le Shopkeeper wanted 40 Euros each for them and for a moment I was tempted on an impulse buy for the Moonstone one for my desk, but kept my money in my pocket in the end! Sounds like you are doing good things to your 75. Always nice when the MOT man says all is well, eh? The old 75's are a bit addictive aren't they! And yet when I was Company Car Man when the 75 came out I thought it was awful! Cheers f'now! John

Yes, it's a lovely colour. At the BMC/BL Day at Peterborough this year there were two (Press Release cars I believe) in the parking area. Beautiful. There might be pix attached, one of them and mine .... I'm on Wifi at a Spanish Campsite and it's a bit flaky but here goes..... Cheers John
