I took my 91 year old mum to the library yesterday. Most of the folks going in were "excessive in years" (even more than me!). I sat in the car to wait for her and spent about twenty minutes cringeing and making sharp intakes of breath as I watched the antics. Some very large, less mobile folks with bags of books, trollies, walking sticks and walkers, trying to manoeuvre between the parked motors! Ooch, ouch! I was a nervous wreck by the time she got back to the car.

Whenever I take my Mum shopping I always park in the "parent & child" spaces ..... shes 91 and needs the door fully open to get in and out.

I have stickers on each front door window asking politely to "please leave enough room to open my door fully" they of course might as well not be there for all good they do

I often pop one or two of these on a couple of cars just to see the look on the faces of the drivers when they return!

Grrr There's a few supermarkets that have been crossed off our shopping list, I don't know what it is about these new ones but the parking bay widths seem to be getting smaller.

I sent an email to one local supermarket chain telling them I've no intention of shopping there anymore & damaging my car with the ridiculous height of the speed ramps & ridiculous width of their parking bays.
I never got a reply back I also rang the vision express guy to forget my glasses appointment as I'm not wrecking my car on the supermarket car park.
