At its best, Photobucket was the best IMO, with large scale thumbnails and a nice set of options for arranging and editing your images. Unfortunately, it became a victim of its own success with separate interests paying loads for advertising space. It's now an advertising hoarding with some places to store photos - if you can get t them amist the burgeoning scripts. I find most other hosts lack the PB's earlier finesse.

HI Andrew/Martyn
Would one of you be so kind as to do a little how to on how imgur works, put a pic up and see if it just shows the photo and not let the public into the rest of your albums/pics etc

First thing to do is create an account which, like most sites, is little more than choosing a username and password. Once that's done you click on 'images' in the dropdown menu displaying your username at the top right of the page. That will give you the option to add images by drag and drop or browsing. Once the image has been uploaded it will appear on the page. To add an image to a forum post, click on it and then choose 'huge thumbnail' from the bottom box in the newly opened small window. Then click on the box titled BBCode which will become highlighted in green. Right click and choose copy then paste it into your post. Here's a pic which hopefully won't lead to the rest of my pictures - not that they're very interesting anyway!

HI Andrew.
Most appreciated I will have a go of that later this afternoon or early evening as I have some injectors to remove which I think are going to be stubborn as the engine is stone cold and can not be started, maybe I will post the pictures of a slide hammer in use cheers Arctic

Good luck Steve - I did one on Thursday, but I had run the car up to temp. beforehand, and put some penetrant round the offending injector the day before - it came out easily without needing the slide hammer. I assume you know the supposed trick of putting vinegar or Coca-Cola round the injectors to release them - I have no idea if this works (I have never tried it)
Let us know how you get on.
Cheers

Pete

Photo bucket used to be great & easy to use but then As tcut says became full of adverts. I closed my account after all my pics got lost & my albums were emptied.
If I need to upload onto forum I now use tapatalk.
I will however checkout imgur as suggested by a few members.

Hi Pete.
I/we eventually got the injectors out with the slide hammer, they were the toughest I have ever removed, the engine being cold and standing over a month or more would not have helped either, anyway I also managed to take a few pics and use https://imgur.com/ to upload them it still seems a little buggy to me though.
