Default Posh Car.

How many times have you given someone a lift and they've said "Ooh, this is posh"
Yes, it's a 'posh car,' it has leather seats, a DD stereo, rear blind, cruise control, foglights, real walnut dash, auto dim mirror, illuminated visors, very nice paintwork, chrome grille. It looks expensive.

It's worth around 800 quid!

I do think sandstone leather and walnut does look posh.
I gave a couple of people a lift and one commented how comfortable the rear seats the rear seats were.

Who needs a new car where the interior is the same colour as any other new car....."dark grey"

Quite often. Someone got in my old saloon which had Deep Sea Green Personal Line interior and said 'It's like a baby Bentley'.

My brother (who has a newish Mini Cooper convertible) recently came out in the new to me Tourer, which has had some Walnut Dash Company trim, and looked around it and said 'Nice'. (I also pointed out my saloon had cost me as much in deprecation every year that his Mini does in PCP every month! )

A buddy of mine is a professional rugby player (big lad), so he earns a couple of quid and drives a GLA. Gave him a lift home a few nights ago, he remarked how much more comfortable my 75 was over his Merc and the interior was so great.

His face was a picture when I told him how old and how much! He's a Saffa, so not big on 75's out there, he also thought it was a Jag

Turned up at a customers place a few weeks ago to plan a cinema build and the first comment they made was "they obviously pay you too well" until i told them she was 17 yrs old and cost me £300

Was staying at a rather posh hotel in Harrogate last week (The Majestic) for work, and was stood outside burning some nicotine, with a couple chaps who were talking about the cars in the car park. A good mixture of Mercs, Jags, Discoveries, range Rovers etc and my old ZT parked at the end It was the one they both picked out and remarked upon, trying to work out what the personalised plate meant !!
I let them ramble on a bit before I pointed out that the number plate was the original and not personalised... (KE53 VHP)
Despite that they insisted on calling me Kev in the bar that evening

Same with mine, the number of people who look at it and comment when walking past. When I've been putting shopping in the boot I've had people pass saying "nice car" to me.

I suppose it's helpful it's British Racing Green, not too many BRG cars about these days so it stands out and most modern BRG cars are usually expensive ones!

I can't wait to see the reaction I get once I've DA cut and polished it!

Ali.

I had to give someone a lift back from Oxford to Hampstead, the chap sat in the back. When he remarked how tacky the fake wood looked, I asked him what car he drives and he said he had a 1951 Bentley Coupe. He came over as being tacky in his remarks and just a bit too snobby and boorish for my liking. For his punishment, he spent the entire journey back being educated on the refinements and heritage of the Rover 75, the real wood dash, no fake leather seats, sound proofing, blah blah, the delightful sound of the V6
