H&S? The only health concerns they have is their own jobs if they do so against company orders.

Fortunately I can cut my own and those of locals.

If you see any item for sale such as Valeo or Ford or Vw etc and in the photos a piece of tape is put over the decal its a fake and the tape method is to prevent the item being withdrawn by the manufacturer.
If you look on Aliexpress or Alibaba etc the Chinese sites they sell millions of counterfeit items daily and many of the adverts cover the name so they do not get withdrawn. A classic example is Delphi Ds105e diagnostic kits with Delphi 2016 or 2014 software. They were openly advertised with Delphi stickers on now all sellers are masking out the name.

Before it all kicks off into a good old Wild West saloon punch up …….. I've got a genuine Valeo case which I currently use as a spare. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of a little wobble in the blade? It doesn't stop it working in the ignition but it's annoying.

Yup I used Loctite superglue as well, kept the blade rock solid for about a year before just starting to wobble a bit again, another dose of loctite and it's been rock solid again to date.

Just pulled the blade out of the case, spread the glue on the plastic bit that holds onto the blade and inserts into the key case and reinserted, took about 5 seconds.

Thread now closed to prevent further bickering between Brian and Simon, and I think the topic has been covered to sufficiency too.

Default Well my Valeo blade fits this "Valeo" case

With considerable trepidation I am daring to report back as promised on this inflammatory link here closed by our esteemed Head Honcho.

The main point at issue seemed to be whether this possible rip-off Valeo would accept a genuine Valeo blade because it would be narrower where it goes into the plastic plug. Well as you can see from the pics below it does fit and as far as I am concerned it will do the job. Cost me £7.90 last week from here.

(But strangely enough I see today that the price has jumped to £11.99: possibly R75 owners rushing to secure one?)

So if SD1 and MarinaBrian can keep apart I'm happy for the Chief Mod to close this now if he so wishes.

Dave

Yeah Dave, just knock the roll pin out of your original blade, and the same with the copy blade, and fit the black plastic part that is currently fitted to the copy blade to your original blade, using your original blade's roll pin.

Then the assembled blade and plastic part can be simply pushed into it's fitted position, in the replacement case.

Make sure you transfer the PCF7930AS from the original key back into that of the copy casing, and not just the PCB.

Job done

Brian

As a post script I have merged MissMopett's findings onto the end of this thread to bring it to a natural conclusion.

Thanks for the update.
