I remember doing that many years ago on a 4 cylinder in line rear wheel drive car with lots of space between the belt and the radiator. It was either a Cortina or a Volvo that I had. I'm not sure that I would tackle a front wheel drive V6 that way though. One slip of the cutting blade and you're back to square one any way!

Well i sorted the problem, sold the car to a fine older scotish gentleman who wants to just potter around with the car, not doing any real kilometres and is aware of the belts etc.
The car is in very good condition and made me an offer i couldn’t refuse.
It was sad as ive had that car since 2005 but as im doing regular 300km trips
to our country property, needed somthing newer.
Still got the zt 180 left so have sold 3 out of the 4 mgr cars i had.
As the zt only has 140,000 km on it im trying to convince the wife to keep it.
Only issue i have with that is sometines it almost feels like the engine is being restricted a little, almost like air or fuel, other times runs like goes like a train!!
